We had quite a discovery moment when we stepped into this factory’s showroom. Producing shoes for several well-known fashion design houses, the feel of luxury in their product is recognizable immediately. Established in 1920 in the center of Naples, this calzaturificio (Italian for “shoe factory”) was founded by a husband and wife team with an emphasis on entirely handmade shoes. Now run by their grandchildren, the third generation has combined the factory’s extraordinary technical skills with modern production techniques and strategies. The factory prides itself on its high quality level, with extraordinary attention to design.
