The Inbox Edit: Conference Attire

Posted by Tamar Miller on

The thing that’s both tricky and easy about figuring out what to wear to a conference is that, regardless of location or field, the itinerary looks the same. There’s the hotel ballroom, the mix-and-mingle cocktail hour, the big group dinner. If you’ve been to one, you can dress for them all—and deciding on a go-to outfit that you can always pack in your suitcase makes getting ready for your next invite that much easier. Just add a name tag and go!

We always believe a great pair of shoes is the lynchpin of any outfit, and it’s especially true for a work conference where apparel needs to be universal business attire (think comfortable slacks and a blouse that won’t easily crease if you’re going to spend a good part of the day sitting).

Shoes with a unique detail or in an unexpected color are the spot to add some personality. Making sure they’re comfortable is a no-brainer—running back to your room to change shoes is a definite waste of time—and that’s an element that’s inherent with every pair of Bells & Becks.

We especially love The Allegra since it’s professional and polished but still brings an element of joy. And who doesn’t need a reason to smile when you’re at a three day-long conference?
